Cody Gilham
B.Sc HMES, M. Physiotherapy

Cody is the founder and director of Swan Physiotherapy, bringing over 17 years of private practice experience and a wealth of clinical knowledge to the team. He holds a Master of Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Exercise Science, which together provide him with a deep understanding of injury management, movement science, and rehabilitation strategies.

Throughout his career, Cody has completed extensive postgraduate training across multiple areas of physiotherapy, allowing him to provide precise, evidence-based treatment for a wide range of conditions. His focus is not only on achieving recovery but also on helping patients build long-term resilience and prevent future injuries.Cody’s areas of expertise include:

  • Dry needling and soft tissue release

  • Strength training and functional rehabilitation

  • Pre- and post-surgical treatment and recovery

Jack Hawkins
B.Sc Physiotherapy

Jack is an experienced and highly motivated physiotherapist who graduated from Curtin University in 2015. With over eight years at Swan Physio, he has built a strong reputation for delivering personalised, results-driven care to patients of all ages and activity levels.

Jack has worked extensively across private practice, gym environments, and sporting clubs, providing expert management for a wide variety of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. His approach is centred on understanding each patient’s unique goals and designing a tailored treatment plan to help them recover efficiently and sustainably.

Throughout his career, Jack has worked with athletes and teams in Australian Rules Football, soccer, and gymnastics, gaining valuable experience in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimisation.

Alistair Barrow
B.Sc Physiotherapy

Alistair is a skilled physiotherapist who holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from The University of Notre Dame Australia. He brings a warm, collaborative, and patient-focused approach to his practice, delivering evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s goals and lifestyle.

With experience in both hospital and private practice environments, Alistair works confidently across a variety of conditions and focuses on empowering patients with practical tools for long-term wellbeing and injury prevention.

Alistair has a special interest and expertise in:

  • Shoulder, hand, and wrist rehabilitation

  • Post-surgical recovery

  • Sports taping and injury prevention

  • Performance injury management for musicians

His background in classical music, including studies at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and work as a professional musician and educator, gives Alistair unique insight into musician-specific injuries and performance-related rehabilitation.

Outside of the clinic, Alistair continues to perform in Perth concert venues, follows Formula 1, and enjoys time with his pets, Tillie the cat and Laddie the border collie.

Paula Nubiato Bardi
B.Sc Physiotherapy

Paula is a dedicated physiotherapist who holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Brazil. Since moving to Australia in 2019, she has continued to pursue her passion for helping people enhance their movement, strength, and overall wellbeing.

Paula’s treatment philosophy is centred on individualised care. She takes the time to truly understand each person’s goals, lifestyle, and challenges to design tailored treatment plans that deliver meaningful and lasting results.

She has a particular interest in:

  • Musculoskeletal physiotherapy

  • Pain management

  • Rehabilitation and injury recovery

  • Functional movement and mobility

  • Lifestyle and wellbeing-focused care

Paula is deeply committed to helping her patients restore confidence in their movement, whether recovering from injury, managing ongoing pain, or improving day-to-day function.

Outside of the clinic, Paula enjoys playing soccer, hiking, and exploring nature. She believes that staying active and connected to movement is not only essential for physical health, but also for mental and emotional wellbeing.

Praveen Gamage
B.Sc Physiotherapy

Praveen is a dedicated and approachable physiotherapist who completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Curtin University. Since joining Swan Physio, he has become known for his welcoming, confident, and easy-going manner, creating a relaxed environment where patients feel heard and empowered in their recovery.

With over two years of experience as a sports trainer in football and soccer, Praveen has developed a strong foundation in sports injury assessment and management, including sprains, tears, and dislocations. His time working as a community support worker has also given him valuable experience supporting older adults and individuals with age-related conditions.

Praveen has extensive experience in:

  • Lower back and neck pain management

  • Sports injuries and rehabilitation

  • Deconditioning and loss of mobility

  • Post-operative and joint replacement rehabilitation

  • Dry needling and taping

  • Chronic pain management

  • Vertigo and balance disorders (BPPV)

He has a particular interest in workers’ compensation and motor vehicle accident rehabilitation, helping clients safely and confidently return to their normal routines. Praveen also enjoys working with children and teenagers, supporting their recovery from sports and activity-related injuries.

Outside of work, Praveen loves spending time riding motorcycles, working on cars, 4WDing, and gardening.
